The stone

Every sphere wears its own web.

Howlite is a borate mineral that forms in sedimentary rock. It was first identified by Henry How in Nova Scotia, Canada, and is also found in the United States and Mexico. Polished into a sphere, its white body shows off fine spiderweb veins of grey, black or deep brown that are different on every piece.

Howlite is often used in place of red coral, which has helped ease the demand for coral harvested from fragile reefs. It also goes by the names white buffalo and sacred buffalo.

Shown in a small group with clear quartz spheres and decor for styling; each order includes one howlite sphere.

Size & details

A calm weight in your palm.

The medium sphere rests comfortably in one hand for meditation, then returns to a desk, altar or shelf as a quiet, bright centerpiece.

Diameter: Approx. 2.5 in (about 6 cm)
Stone: Polished white howlite

All sizes are approximate. Each sphere is one of a kind, so veining and size vary slightly.

A stone of calm, awareness and patience.

In crystal tradition, howlite is believed to bring calm and tranquility, ease stress and support emotional healing. It is said to encourage patience, self-awareness and inner peace in meditation, and it is associated with clear communication, self-expression and understanding. Howlite is linked with the crown chakra and higher awareness.

A sphere is thought to send energy out evenly in every direction, which is why spheres are so often kept at the center of a room or altar.

Crystals have been prized for centuries for their beauty and believed metaphysical properties; Spirit Magicka makes no guarantee of any mystical or healing effect.
