Angel Hair Quartz

Rutilated quartz is quartz with needle-like inclusions of rutile, a mineral made of titanium dioxide. The rutile is trapped as the crystal grows, forming fine threads and patterns inside the quartz, and it can appear in clear quartz, smoky quartz and citrine. The strands range from golden to reddish-brown or silver.
Those delicate golden strands earned it the nickname Angel Hair Quartz: they resemble fine angelic threads and evoke a sense of lightness, purity and spiritual connection.
Rutilated quartz is found around the world, with notable sources in Brazil, Madagascar, Switzerland, the United States (particularly Colorado), Australia and India.
