A wand of moon-white selenite.

One translucent white selenite stick standing on a wooden slice in a sunny meadow

Selenite

Frozen moonlight in a slender stick.

Selenite takes its name from the Greek word for moon. It is a variety of gypsum that forms when seawater evaporates and its mineral deposits slowly crystallize, leaving silky, translucent white fibers.

The purest white selenite has an ethereal glow and is said to inhabit the space between light and matter.

How to use it

Draw slow circles to clear the air.

Sweep the stick in circles over a room, your aura or a group of crystals. In crystal tradition, its long shape is believed to focus and direct the flow of energy, and selenite is said to absorb and dissipate negative energy as it goes.

It is a favorite tool for cleansing, purification and wrapping the aura in a protective shield, and it fits into almost any ritual or energy practice. Selenite is said to cleanse itself, so it never needs cleansing of its own.

Shown as a handful; your order is one stick.

A stone of purification, clarity and divine connection.

Selenite is said to be an angelic stone of pure, high-vibrational energy, linked with clarity, peace and spiritual connection. It is believed to sharpen judgment and insight, steady erratic emotions and bring a conscious understanding of what is happening at the subconscious level.

In crystal energy work it is tied to the crown chakra, said to strengthen your connection to divine energies and your higher self and to awaken intuitive and psychic abilities.

Crystals have been prized for centuries for their beauty and believed metaphysical properties; Spirit Magicka makes no guarantee of any mystical or healing effect.
