Shungite
Deep black with a soft metallic sheen.
Shungite is a mineraloid prized for its unusually high carbon content. Polished into a smooth oval, it glows a deep, satiny black, with fine silvery traces across the surface.
Most of the world's shungite comes from the Republic of Karelia in northwestern Russia, near the Finnish border, with smaller deposits in Austria, the Democratic Republic of the Congo and Kazakhstan.

The Stone of Life.
Russian folklore calls shungite the Stone of Life, and Peter the Great is said to have favored it for its reputed healing properties. Its long association with purifying water stands for spiritual renewal and clarity.
In crystal tradition, shungite is a stone of grounding, protection and purification, linked with the Root chakra. It is believed to absorb unwanted energy and to shield against psychic disturbance, bringing balance, emotional calm and a strong connection to the earth.
Crystals have been prized for centuries for their beauty and believed metaphysical properties; Spirit Magicka makes no guarantee of any mystical or healing effect.
